The elimination wagers for this show have been really easy. I've gone 4-for-4, +17 units, on the picks posted in this forum, and have also won on various last longers and props.
Now that the Sara Evans quitting fiasco is over, we can get back to the regular elimination bets. Sorry to see her go, as she was a cash cow, easy to see that she would stick around due to fanbase, even though the public thought she would leave since her dancing sucked.
This week, they are combining the results from last week with the results from last night. So we already have a leg up on knowing who will get booted. So do the oddsmakers, however, and the lines reflect that.
Just based on last week's show, they revealed that the Bottom 2 were Jerry and Joey. Jerry has long been an obvious choice for the bottom, with just enough fanbase to get by. But Joey was somewhat of a surprise, although if you had to guess, you'd probably pick Monique or him for 2nd from the bottom. That will probably mobilize Joey's base a little, since he hasn't been there yet, so he may fight off Monique and escape that B2 slot tonight.
The judges combined scores from last week and this week are:
Mario 84
Emmitt 82
Joey 81
Monique 77
Jerry 64
So we can see that Jerry is clearly in the bottom, with all of the others a decent margin ahead of him. With Monique beating Joey last week, but Joey's fanbase mobilized for this week, they should balance each other out and be safe from elimination. Either one could be B2 (my guess is Monique), but either one should be safe.
Informal surveys and polling reactions from various forums shows that all 4 of the other contestants have decent fanbases, and Jerry probably has the lowest of the remaining people. Almost all pundits/articles/blogs think Jerry will go home (while putting in the caveat of "unless his fanbase miraculously saves him again" just to cover their butts).
So I am firmly on Jerry to go home tonight, even though the odds are high. Somewhere in the -300's now, but the line should be around -500 imo.
Position:
Win 3 units if Jerry goes home
Lose 8 units if anyone else goes home
